Whether you want your site to be a business tool, a blog, a site for your club or hobby – or just a family website complete with pictures of the new born baby ... ask most people how they want their site to look and few will initially be able to tell you.

This guide was compiled to help you to arrive at the site you really want, and lists features to look for in good sites. The sub pages on the Hints & Tips tab go into more detail on the various six steps listed below, whilst on the Web Tools' tab you will be able to see the various tools and effects we can supply that will support and enhance your site to give it strong visual impact and be memorable to your clients.

Visual Impact:  

Ideally you want your website to be easy on the eye and simple for even novice surfers to navigate round. You also want people when they first arrive at your site to be able to immediately tell what your site is about and to be able to find the information they are looking for quickly and easily, whether that be a product or service you supply, a date for an event or simply information relating to your profession.

Time is money, so the easier you make it for people to find what they are looking for on your site; the less likely they are to then start looking for that all important information on your competitor’s site!

For a website to be effective, there are six features it will want it to have:

 

1.Home page,

 

2.Sub pages, 3.Menu,

 

4.Text,

 

5.Pictures, (not vital, but does help with visual impact), 6.Links.
